1. Respect - Users are expected to respect all other users, people, beliefs or otherwise. You may not attack, demean or insult any users of the site. This includes the site’s staff.
Harassment - Users are not allowed to harass other members on Voriti. Harassment is defined as the action of repetitively targeting another individual with messages or actions that intend to annoy, upset, disturb or insult. Users can be reported for harassment if they continue communicating to an individual who has requested a termination of behaviors. Reports of user harassment are taken seriously by Voriti Staff and strict punishment may be dealt to accounts engaging in harassment.
Discrimination - Voriti takes complaints of discrimination seriously. However because of the complicated nature associated with discrimination, the Staff handles matters of discrimination on a case by case basis. If you feel you have been discriminated against, please report the incident to the Voriti Staff and an Administrator will investigate the matter.
Courtesy Guidelines
To encourage greater respect amongst Voriti Members, the Voriti Staff will also monitor content according to Voriti's Courtesy Guidelines. Courtesy Guidelines are not enforced like the Site Rules however members are still required to read and understand these guidelines before they begin posting and interacting with other users. You can read the Voriti Courtesy Guidelines in the second post of this thread or click here.

No Sexual Roleplaying - Users of the site are not allowed to participate in sexual roleplaying of any kind. Users may not roleplay out sexual acts in any roleplay even if they provide prior warnings of mature content. Roleplays that post explicitly erotic or sexual content may face closure and its members may receive warnings. ONLY IN PMs IS THIS OKAY.
Encouraging Erotic Content - Users are not allowed to encourage the creation of erotic content on Voriti. Users should refrain from allowing such content within their roleplays.
3. No Illegal or Immoral Discussions - Users are not allowed to discuss or provide advice that is either Illegal or Immoral on Voriti. Topics that would be considered illegal or immoral can include, but is not limited to: piracy of music or books, theft, selling illegal products and threatening individuals or organizations.
In-Character Behavior - Literary freedoms do exist on Voriti when it comes to roleplaying. Characters can partake in illegal or immoral behavior when it doesn’t conflict with other site rules and is allowed by their game creator. While roleplaying a character who is involved in illegal or immoral behavior as defined above, the user is expected to address the situation in a mature, respectful and delicate manner. As an example, if a character is a drug addict and the game creator allows it, they can imply the use of drugs or other activities within the roleplay. However the user cannot discuss drugs out of character or give advice about such content to other players.
4. No Advertisements – Users are not allowed to advertise external websites or services with the intention of either personal gain or distracting from the community. This means: links that benefit the posting user, links that sell a product or service, or links that serve to gain a user-base on another website are considered advertising and will be removed.
Admin Permission – Users can post Advertising Links if they get such links or services explicitly approved by the Administration before posting. This can be done within Admin Contact.
Reporting Advertisement - Please report any thread or post that appears to be advertising a product or promoting a roleplay that is not hosted on Voriti. Reporting can help moderators remove Spambots quickly and efficiently.
5. No Ban Evasion - Users on Voriti are expected to serve any punishments given to them by the Voriti Staff to that punishment's completion. This means users who are banned are expected to remain off the site until their ban has expired. Users who are discovered evading their ban will receive additional punishments to their account depending on the severity of the ban and the evasion. Likewise any secondary account they are using to evade their punishments will be removed from the site.
Connected Punishments - Users on Voriti are allowed to possess multiple account. However such accounts are considered conjoined in terms of warnings and punishments. Users should not attempt to create new accounts as a means to avoid further punishments for repeated offenses.
Aiding a Banned User - Users on the site who are not banned but are found helping a member evade being banned, such as letting that user utilize their own account to post, will also receive punishments to their account.
Ban Appeals - Users who are banned from the site can appeal their bans to the Voriti Administration. Please see Voriti's Ban Appeal Policy below.
Site Rules Override Roleplay Rules
All rules of Voriti are final, and no roleplay can have their own rules which contradict, abridge or remove the rules of the site as a whole. Roleplays which try to skirt the site rules or encourage rule breaking will be closed and the creator will be handled by Voriti Staff.
Please see Voriti’s Roleplay Rights for more information.
Ban Appeal Policy
Users who are banned from the site can appeal their bans to the Voriti Administration. This can be done through the Voriti Webmaster Email (as Banned Users will not be able to access Admin Contact).
In this ban appeal they should list the reasons for why their ban should be overturned and explain their desire to remain a part of the Voriti community.
Users are usually only given ONE chance to appeal a ban. Users can only appeal bans of a significant length (multiple months or permanent bans). Bans appeals underneath a month will not be heard. Users can NOT have their ban appeals submitted by other members. They must submit the ban appeal by themselves (using the Webmaster Email).
COPPA Enforcement
The children's online protection privacy act (abbreviated to COPPA) is a federal law of the United States of America. The details of the law can be found here. The short of it is that since the site’s owner and the server containing the site are both American then the site must abide by this law. Failure to comply with this law can get this site shut down and the site owner in legal trouble. This law is what prevents users under the age of 13 from being members of the site. For this reason, users that are found to be under the age of 13 will have their accounts terminated without warning by Voriti Staff.
